3 Cheers and Hip Hip Hoorah's for P Week - P words are all about FUN starting with the words: "PAJAMAS AND PARTAY "!
They loved watching me make ol' fashioned Plain PoPcorn and eating it together right out of the bowl. Someone yelled, "That is TOTALLY AWESOME!"
Tyler taught all of his 3 year old friends how to throw it on the floor.
We had Pajama day, Played Play-doh,
(these 3 year olds were really into it and didn't want to stop)Painted Pictures with watercolors of Park scenes, and
we Played on the Pirate ship (which we haven't done in weeks because of fall grass planting and rainy mud), and can anyone say,
"PILLOW FIGHT!!!!"
(Don't worry it was supervised)We also made Paper Plate Pizza together, glued Popcorn on our P Paper, ate Pancakes, read "Hop on Pop", sang Popcorn & Pizza songs.
We made this together on a big paper plate, then we cut up the pieces and talked about equal slices to share and how many we would need to feed all of us and cut it up together.
Keep practicing at home with scissors!
And needless to say, we had a GREAT week and made lots of messes (popcorn and play-doh were everywhere in the kitchen, so I let them watch 'Toy Story 3', which just came out, while I cleaned up the big, big mess).
We Practiced our letters by putting the letters in order for the ABC train Puzzle. Then, we found the sponge letters around the room and in the hallway that I had "dropped" and matched them to the right Puzzle Piece. Owen, Zac, Henry, and Tyler were really into this activity.
Pow, Punch- take that bad guys- these Pajama Super Heroes are here to save the day!
Our snacks this week included: Popcorn balls made by Owen and his Mom Kyla, a brown Paper sack filled with Presents of P words from Nicholas and his Mom Camille who went to town finding everything and anything they could that started with the letter P to eat: peas, pretzels, pomegranate seeds, pears, and we had Peach juice and Punch to drink. Next time I'll think of Popsicles too if it's a warm day!
