My little girl is One Year OLD!!! I can not believe how time flies when you are engulfed by day to day activities. I thought that once one of my kids hit Kindergarten, it would get much easier but it is a lot busier than I had planned. Jordyn has her one year checkup next week so I don't have any stats on her yet. I can say that she is tiny but she is growing. 365 days ago, I kissed Aaron good-bye and I left my house around 6:15 am to check myself into the hospital. My doctor was concerned that my baby will be too big if we wait for her to come on her own so after my Donovan experience, I opted to be induced. I felt fine and so I encouraged Aaron to go ahead and go to work so he can spend an extra day with us AFTER the baby is born. I remember walking into the hospital completely relaxed and ready to just not be pregnant anymore. A nice elderly lady sat next to me and was trying to ask me politely if I was here alone (single mom) or if my husband was on his way. I told her that this was my third and I told my husband to go ahead and go to work this morning. She gasped and thought I was insane to do this alone. I actually enjoyed the first couple of hours alone. It was so quiet and so relaxing....then they started the Pitocin. I called Aaron around 12:00 and told him that I was fine but he should leave soon. He arrived thirty minutes later...with Burger King!!! As some of you know, you are not allowed to eat when you are induced and so I sat there watching him eat while I was starving and in pain. I told him to leave the room until he was done because he refused to share his fries with me! Good thing he did because I was about to throw up a few minutes later. Anyway...time went on and finally around 3:15 pm Jordyn was born. She was 7 pounds 13 ounces and had a great set of lungs. Her sister and brother were so excited to see her and have enjoyed her ever since. She brightens up our days with her beautiful smiles and makes us laugh with her silly tantrums. It's really hard to be angry with her now but I'm sure that will change over time. She is the sweetest little thing and I am currently working on her birthday cake so hopefully I will have pictures of the cake later. She plays the "copycat" game with us by making the same noise we do. That's her favorite pastime as well as eating her bottle. That girl can eat eventhough none of it stays with her. We love her so much and we are so glad that she is a part of our family! Happy Birthday our sweet little Jo Jo, we love you!
