Our New Living Room

Aaron and I have been working on our home for the past month and now we are at a point where we are not ashamed to show it to everyone. We actually had Donovan's birthday party and we still felt like we were in a construction zone. But this past week, the "Geek Squad" came by and installed our new television so finally we have all our things off the floor. Our TV was actually on the fireplace for the past two weeks and now I was finally able to paint the fireplace and get a new rug and now the room is coming together. We are still waiting on one more of those audio piers that will be on the other side of the fireplace and then all the furniture will be in it's place and then I can think about adding some stuff on the walls. We are so excited about our new floors!!!!!! I'm just glad we did it sooner than later so we can enjoy them as long as we can before we inevitably have to move. But it's an engineered hardwood called "Manchurian Walnut", Aaron and I installed it ourselves with the help of some of my good friends who came by and offered their help with the kids and with laying the planks. I'm glad that we were able to do this project ourselves cause now we won't be afraid to do it again in our next home. Just like our tile, we aren't afraid of tile cause we laid over 400 square feet of it in our previous home. I think that's our next project, tile in our master bath!!!! So these are some photos of our makeover and I KNOW I took pictures of the before but I can not find them anywhere, so maybe I'm just imagining that I did. It was dark, carpet was on the floor and the fireplace was dark brown. That about covers that, Roxy and Donovan always take advantage of a photo opportunity so they decided that they wanted to be in the pictures. They love the new TV cause they have 24 hour Sprout and Nick Jr. now. Yea Technology!
