PRE-SCHOOL UPDATE Week 14

Miss Jenny’s Update—Week 14
HO HO HO Merry Christmas!
Santa Henry would like to introduce you to all of his Reindeer friends:

"You know Nicholas,

and Tyler,

and Donovan, (he was not happy about this at all!)

and Will.

Zac,

and Jonny,

and Corteney,

and Owen."

R was a great letter for this week for Red, Rudolph, Reindeer, but we were sad, because Rick was out of town on his week. Bummer. We missed you Ricky!
We had a puzzle contest after they dumped them all out to see who could put them together the fastest- everyone loves a little competition and they rose to the challenge! Hooray!

We sang 'Jingle Bells' and 'Rudolph' while we marched forwards, backwards, to the middle of the circle and sideways. They like to jingle!

It's been really cold- darn that cold! I don't think we went out at all this week- bummer. It's been below freezing every morning and my backyard is shaded, so it feels even colder. We're hoping for warmer temperatures next week: PLEASE!!!!
So, bundle up kiddos!
We only had four out of the six 3 year olds this week. Wynter and Rick were out of town and we missed them! Tuesday was especially easy and quieter. However, Thursday- whoa!! Watch Out- you think there were 10 3 year olds in the room- they were fiesty! I'm telling you- I remember this from my teacher days- kids are the crankiest around the holidays- I remember being really anxious for a break. Thursday I was feeling like I really need a break!!
4 days until Christmas break- Hooray!!!
We all NEED it!!

So, luckily, I had this idea that I got from making Kyla's diaper cake the night before. Let's string buttons on pipe cleaners- that should take up time. And it sure did- we sorted the buttons by color (next time we'll do shapes) and we strung them on our pipe cleaners. This was a great independent activity with no one bothering anyone- ah- heavenly.

Seriously, YAY for buttons and pipe cleaners!

AWESOME Nicholas!

Tyler only wanted the black ones: (his favorite color)

WOW Will!!
Donovan and Will had strung the most and were SO proud!

Here are my cute little reindeers dancing and singing:

We made reindeer hats with our hands:

I am so glad that I take all of these pictures- when I look at them and blog about them, I think to myself, "I just love this little kiddos and I love my job- they make me happy!"
However, 4 more days and 3 weeks off!! I'm just sayin'!! :)
