Easter

We had a very fun Easter. We went over to Andrew and Munni's house with a bunch of friends and they had a big egg hunt for all the kids. Roxy and Shyla were in the egg toss but didn't go very far. It was cute to watch the two of them try to toss an egg back and forth. We woke up Easter morning and only had time to get ready for church. I was doing my hair and Roxy came up to me and just stood there, waiting for her turn. I looked at her and said, "Hey Roxy, I heard a noise downstairs last night. Did you see anything downstairs?" She looked at me and said "nope, nothing." Aaron could see what I was trying to do and chimed in "I can smell a Rabbit, do you smell a Rabbit?" Roxy just looked at him and said, "no, I don't smell anything." Aaron and I just looked at eachother and didn't know what to say. Finally, I caved in and said "Isn't today a special day? Was someone suppose to come and see us?" Roxy's eye's lit up and she said "Grandma!!!??" "No, someone else, perhaps a Rabbit?" If we were in a cartoon you could she the light bulb above her head turn on, "The Easter Bunny!!" She ran downstairs and found the baskets for everybody. She was so excited and wanted to open her toys right away but Aaron and I said "sorry, we have to leave for church, we will check out our baskets when we get home." The rest of the day she kept saying how excited she was to see what the bunny brought her. I think she would have torn her basket apart if she remembered that it was actually Easter. We enjoyed our Easter, holidays always makes you think of family and all the fun you are missing when they are not near you. But it's alright, one day we will do the big Easter dinner with all the family and it will be awesome. We enjoyed having some time to celebrate with just us, it was still a special day.
