Things going on around here

Well, since Shaver we have started being a little bit busier but I think it will really get busy once all the kids start school. Roxy had her first day of second grade on August 5th. Her new teacher is Mrs. Petty and Roxy is super excited to be in her class. Her goal for the school year is to join the AR 125 club. That is a club that you get into if you read 125 points worth of books and pass exams for every single one of them. The books that are in Roxy’s range are about .5 to 2 points a piece so she has her work cut out for her. As she gets older then books are worth a lot more, like Harry Potter books are about 18 points to 25 points for Deathly Hallows. So it’s a lot harder for younger kids to be in this club. She is doing well right now but we will see if her excitement remains throughout the entire school year.

Aaron got the Supervisor job he applied for a few weeks back and is now on Day shift for the first time in years! We are so excited to be able to eat dinner with Daddy and have FHE and bedtime with our Daddy.

Donovan is waiting patiently for his pre-school with Mrs. Jenny to start. Everyday when Roxy leaves for the bus, Donovan asked if he gets to go to school that day. I told him in September and now he has an idea of what that is! What a big boy!

Jordyn is …..Jordyn. She is starting Mom’s Day Out at the end of the month while Mommy goes to school. She hasn’t shown any interest in school but she just wants to wear her shoes every moment of everyday. So if I put her shoes on and take her to school then I’m sure she will be in heaven.

I started school this week and am excited about my classes this semester. I am in the process of getting a little more technical with my class and take advantage of the “smart classroom” I was assigned.

I need to take more pictures but I love this one Allison took!Shaver Lake family photo
