When are we officially adults? I graduated high school and got a four year degree at a great university. (I didn't get a degree in English so pardon my sentence fragments.) I married a great guy who traveled all over the world with the military. We currently have two mortgages, two cars (without payments yeah!!) and 2 1/2 kids. But I never considered myself an adult. People call me Mrs. Hart and I insist on Shannon. Mrs. Hart is my mother-in-law and my Grandmother-in-law. Well, I believe that I have finally figured it out. I turn 27 this week and that number doesn't mean anything to me. My birthday wasn't the final piece to the puzzle. This past Saturday Aaron and I went to the store and purchased our very first Washer and Dryer!
I got to stand there in a huge warehouse and stare at a million different models and choose only one. I was never so scared in my life. I had NO idea what to look for. Other than the pretty colors, they all looked the same to me. Until my "adultness" took affect and I had to dig up as much research as I possibly could before I committed to just one. We decided to get the new Electrolux 4.7 washer and 8.0 Dryer. I just wanted something that could handle really big loads and was quiet. And now, I finally have my very own Washer and Dryer. I know that it is just excitement right now, but I am running out of things to wash. I never thought staring at your own clothes spinning around at incredible speeds would be so exciting. I guess I am finally an adult. But don't tell my kids, they think that I am their friend and I want that to last as long as possible.

Just keep washing, Just keep washing...
Isn't there a name for someone who finds entertainment sitting in front of their washing machine?
