July 3, 2008

Well, here it is, the first blog I have ever done. I'm not the best writer in the world, not by a long shot. But I am very good at bragging about my kids and husband.
We are getting ready for the 4th of July weekend. It is always a busy weekend for us. This year, we are using Donovan as an excuse not to go out searching for fireworks. That is one thing I am happy to skip.
Donovan went to the doctor on Tuesday and he told me that Dono is a normal Boy. Big and Tall, and Full of energy. 23lbs of boy to be exact.
Aaron and I decided to take a whirl at Frisbee golf yesterday. Crockett Park in Brentwood has an eighteen hole course that we walked around 11:30 in the morning. Roxann had a great time being outside and chasing our discs when they flew into the brush encircling almost every hole. The great thing is that she didn't get a single tick on her! They always seem to find her.
Shaver is getting so close and we can hardly wait! We aren't looking forward to the plane ride out there, but once we are there it will be great. The family got all new swimsuits and we are ready to just lay out and relax. Aaron and I look forward to wakeboarding with all the boys in the morning. Hopefully I will get to go early at least once this trip.
I was asked to lead the music at the youth baptisms this Saturday and I still ask myself "WHY ME?" I live in Nashville Tn. There are at least 5 people in our ward that sing and play music as a career and none of them can lead music in primary? I guess I get asked because they know that I will say Yes. It will be fun, but again, Why me when there are some many people better suited for that job? Aaron said he would do it for me. So if something should happen, it's all him. If Aaron does it, the spirit will be gone because I will be laughing so hard in my chair.
David and Alex are coming up from Florida to visit us next week. So we are going to have house guests while I'm packing for our trip and getting rid of food that won't last. They won't be eating well, that's for certain.
Aaron is getting ready to start school soon. We are hoping the get him out by next Summer. He has a lot of work to do so the kids and I will be out of the house more to give him a little more study time. We will see how long that lasts.
Wish me luck on Saturday and smile, someone is thinking about you.
